CUCO – Amor de Siempre

Cuco is an LA based chicano musician, who is very proud of his Mexican heritage. In this song, he teamed-up with a women-only Mariachi band covering one of his earlier songs.
As a production designer, my main challenge was to support the director’s storyline, narratives of teenagers’ first experiences of love. I have connected elements of their experiences with traditional Mexican graphics. This fusion between the youth iconography and Mexican attributes gave me the chance to design custom made embroideries.
